Even if a video is monetized, ads won't always appear. In some cases, ads will not appear more than they will appear. This happens for several reasons:
- Mobile: Not all ad formats are available on mobile devices, so mobile views may display ads less frequently than desktop views.
- Location: Ads may not serve in some countries. If a large portion of your audience is international, you may see lower monetized views.
- Season: Depending on the season, ad inventory may be limited. Read more about CPM seasonality here
- A 3rd party claim: If your video contained copyrighted material (for example, a movie clip or background music), it may have been claimed by the original publisher of that material. If the claimed policy was set to Track, ads will not appear.
